ADHD Life Coach

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

Maya Angelou

From the time I was a young child, I’ve loved seeing new things come to life!

As a third grader I delighted in planting marigold seeds in styrofoam cups and watching them grow.
As a high school teacher I relished helping my students discover new meaning in a piece of literature.
As a mom I’ve cherished watching my babies grow into independent young adults.

Today, my role as a Life Coach gives me the exciting opportunity to partner with my clients as they uncover new strengths, explore new strategies, and achieve new goals!

My journey with ADHD began when my first child was diagnosed with ADHD. I knew very little about ADHD at the time, so I acknowledged the diagnosis and worked with our school professionals to implement their recommended classroom supports. When my second child was diagnosed with ADHD I got a bit more involved, bought a few recommended books, read a couple chapters, and again worked with the school to implement new classroom modifications. By the time my third child was diagnosed with ADHD, I decided it was time to do something different! As I read, studied, and talked to professionals I discovered that so many of the struggles my children faced in school and we worked through at home have direct links to ADHD. The more I learned, the more I wished I knew earlier so I could have better supported my family. Now, becoming a Life Coach with a specialty in ADHD is an exciting opportunity for me to use everything I’ve learned to help other families make the change from surviving to thriving!

My personal experience and specialized ADHD Life Coach training has equipped me to understand and work with individuals and families who are experiencing challenges related to the symptoms of ADHD. I am excited to have the opportunity as an ADHD Life Coach to partner with my clients in discovering ways to use our knowledge of ADHD to bring new life to personal and professional relationships by transforming the ways we approach schoolwork, friendships, family, careers, and community interactions.
